Betty studied Set Design for Screen at Wimbledon College of Art, graduating in 2016. Having taken a year prior to graduation to work in industry, Betty spent some time at the production company Origin Pictures and gathered experience in the art department on ‘Mr Turner’ (Mike Leigh) with designer Suzie Davies. This invaluable year led to a job at Ridley Scott Associates on graduation and shortly after Betty made her break into the art department working as Art Dept. Assistant on the film ‘On Chesil Beach’ (Dominic Cook).
Following Mike Leigh’s ‘Peterloo’, Betty made a natural move towards the Set Decoration department with a passion for textiles and furniture and a sharp eye for detail. Recent projects include assisting Set Decorator Charlotte Watts on ‘The Personal History of David Copperfield’ (Armando Iannuci) and again working with Suzie Davies on ‘Ironbark’ (Dominic Cooke).
